How to Compare Competitor Product Pages Side by Side for Free
Compare up to three competitor product pages side by side and turn the differences into listing improvements.
Switching between browser tabs to compare competitor products is slow, and it is easy to miss details. The free SeoSpidie competitor product research tool pulls the key facts โ title, price, image, brand and rating โ from up to three competitor product pages and puts them side by side.
For a fuller method, read how to analyze competitor products, pricing and listings.
Step 1: Find comparable products
Search your main product phrase on Google and in Google Shopping. Choose up to three competitor product pages that sell the same or a closely comparable item. Comparing a โน500 product with a โน5,000 one teaches little.
Step 2: Paste the URLs and run
Paste the competitor product page URLs into the tool. It reads each page and extracts the title, price, main image, brand and rating.
Step 3: Compare with your own listing
Open your product page next to the results and compare:
- Titles: which attributes do theirs mention that yours does not?
- Price: where do you sit โ lowest, middle, highest? Does your page justify it?
- Images: is their main image clearer, larger or more appealing?
- Brand presentation: do they make the brand and model obvious?
- Ratings: do they show ratings and review counts where you show none?
Step 4: Note what the tool cannot see
Some differences need a manual look: delivery times and costs, return policy, size guides, videos, FAQs, bundle offers. Spend two minutes on each competitor page to note these.
Step 5: Improve your listing
- Add missing attributes to your title using the product title optimizer.
- Upgrade your main image if theirs is clearly better.
- Add structured data for price, availability and genuine reviews with the schema generator, so search engines can show them.
- Make your value obvious if you are not the cheapest: warranty, materials, faster delivery.
Step 6: Track over time
Save the comparison results with the date. Repeat monthly for your key products. Price changes, new competitors and new listing tactics become visible quickly.
A worked example
A small shop selling 1-litre insulated steel bottles at โน899 compared three competitors. The results showed prices of โน749, โน999 and โน1,150. The two pricier competitors both had "24 hours cold" and "leak-proof" in their titles, high-quality lifestyle images and visible star ratings; the cheapest had a plain title and a single white-background photo. The shop's own title was simply "Steel Bottle 1L". The fixes were clear: add the cold-retention and leak-proof claims (which were true) to the title, add a lifestyle photo, and show the genuine reviews it already had. The price stayed the same, because the listing now justified it.
Why some pages fail to load
Large marketplaces and some shops block automated requests or load prices with scripts after the page opens. If a page cannot be read, check it manually or choose a comparable product from another shop. Pages with Product structured data are the easiest to read reliably โ which is also a hint for your own site.
